Hi, I’m Mel — a Kiwi mum raising two teenagers, one neurodiverse and one not.
I know what it’s like to hit your limit early in the day and quietly wonder if you’re doing any of this “right”.
For a long time, I felt like something was off — not broken, not dramatic — just misaligned.
Life looked fine on the outside, but internally, I was exhausted, second-guessing myself, and constantly trying to keep up with expectations that never quite fit.
Like many mothers, I was given plenty of advice:
Be more mindful. Stay calm. Meditate. Try harder to regulate yourself.
I tried. For Years! And some of it helped — but none of it explained why certain things drained me so deeply, or why what worked for others often left me feeling worse.
Everything began to shift when I learned that clarity doesn’t come from forcing change — it comes from understanding how your nervous system and energy are actually designed to work.
Human Design gave me language for patterns I’d been living my whole life:
